Nightlife varies by zone along the coast. In El Tunco, it is concentrated on one street and it runs on the weekend. Thursday is quiet, Friday and Saturday fill up with the crowd out from San Salvador, and by Monday the strip is largely returned to whoever lives here. Most places open late afternoon and the music carries down to the sand.
